Profile
Character Name ※ Lozarian of Telkonar
Character Canon ※ Original
Character Timeline ※ after bringing the Vermillion Company to the Hotfoot Inn, owned by his old friend Halid.
Extra Details ※ Lozarian is a middle-aged elf who spent his "youth" (aka, the first 3500 years of his life) adventuring, questing, saving the day, fought in a few wars (not necessarily willingly, he's very much against War), and even had a few hundred years as a peace ambassador/diplomat. Around a thousand years ago, he retired from all of that and began focusing on his own passion, history. He wanted all of the peoples and cultures of the world to be remembered as accurately as possible. During his thousands of years traveling, he had written down his own recollections of the locations and peoples he met along his journeys as much as he could, often requesting input on how to improve these recollections into historical records.
So in his retirement, he would refine all of these journals and notes into handwritten books. Many, many handwritten books. He never put his own name to these, as he wanted them to stand on their own under scrutiny, not people assuming they Must Be Right because such a well-known and respected person had written them. Then he became a librarian at the Lesser Ardia Hall of Records, the primary library in the most rural region of Leymark, a former fae kingdom now a multi-cultural republic. He deals with cramps in his hands and arms that people think are from old battle wounds, but is actually from the hundreds of years he spent handwriting those books.
Most people only know him as "Lo" or "Lozi," and aren't even aware of the life he led before becoming the head librarian at the LAHR (joking sometimes called The Lair). An old injury has left him with speech issues, not being able to speak loudly or often and having to be careful to chew his food in small bites. He doesn't hide the life he led before, but no one asks him about it, so he doesn't talk about it.
Not until he met Cori, Kell, Yaemar, and Daq, the reckless gremlin youths who make up the Vermillion Company. He got dragged into their shenanigans and quest to find Star Crystals for a job they took without knowing what it would take to accomplish it (and that their lies about what great Finders they were would maybe cost them more than just money and reputation...) or even where to start looking for Star Crystals. Hence why they ended up at the library for "research." Things got dicey, Lozarian stepped in, and now he's along for this crazy ride because he DOES know where to find Star Crystals, what they will need to harvest them, and who to go to for all the supplies. So now he's stuck on a tour of his greatest hits with a bunch of kids who don't even believe him when he talks about his life, but that's fine, he's just here to help. And maybe, he'll keep these precocious little adventurers from ending up dead.
